| The major part of electrical based problem solving on a 300zx (especially for a layman) is by the 'process of elimination' and these testers go a long way in speeding up the ordeal (and save you a fortune on Aspirin) These are electrical testers for testing some of the electrics on a Z32. They will prove/disprove electrical function within your various circuits, which will allow you to correct your electrical malfunction or move on to a non electrical possibility for your problem. These testers are huge time savers compared to the hours spent trying to fault find with a multimeter (which can NOT catch the millisecond ecu pulses anyway). As OverZealous stated in his post, they will not test for low oil pressure in your VCT system (they will also not test for an empty gas tank)..... they are Electrical Testers designed to make life easier in the diagnosis of Electrical problems in your Injection/Ignition/VCT circuits, and as such, do an admirable job. I would suggest you give them serious consideration as an addition to your 300zx toolbox
